The Giant Peach by danieljamespike The Giant Peach by danieljamespike
“~That's the Life for Me~”

I just recently watched James and the Giant Peach, and it really spoke to me, as I am getting ready for the adventure of my own to the "big city". I’ve read the book too,and it is also something worth checking out. When I move out of my small town next year, I'll have to watch this movie again to remind myself that moving away can be a good thing too. Mr. Centipede- “Bright Lights, Big City that’s where we gotta go”

-Painted with Watercolours on Cardboard.
-Inked with Ballpoint Pen
-Wood with Brown Marker
-Stars and Seagulls with White Marker Pen.

I actually am pretty proud of this recent accomplishment. I rarely work with paints, and I think I have a newfound addiction to watercolour paint.

I am a school teacher of 6 & 7 year olds, who will be reading James and the Giant Peach. I hope to use this art-work to inspire my pupils to create their own, using media similar to this. Very inspiring, thank you

I like how the color of the peach reflects in the water. I haven watched this movie in so long but I love it. The spider is my fav one. Then Mr. Centipede. You might want to consider blending the stars in more with the sky. It looks more like snow.

thanks for the comment! I would totally consider blending the stars in more - unfortunately it was a gift to someone and I no longer have a copy! hahaha
